This summer’s upcoming global games in London are just around the corner, and in honor of the big event Match.com decided to see how our own singles match up- or differ- in the game of love… this time across the world! We looked at Match.com singles in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, Japan, and France to compare dating norms and attitudes, and the results were surprising! Check out a few of the survey’s highlights below.
- U.S. singles date the most, with 76% U.S. singles having gone on two or more dates in the last year, followed by Canada (70%) and the U.K. (68%).
- French singles are the most likely to wait to share a first kiss, with a majority (52%) saying they prefer to wait until they’re in an exclusive relationship to lock lips.
- Japanese singles are the most likely to believe in love at first sight, with 82% affirming the phenomenon’s existence (versus 58% of U.K. singles).
