The 30s are a hard decade. Everyone seems to be settling down and, if you’re unattached, it can make you feel behind in the process.
That’s how both Jessica and Adam felt and why both of them decided to give Match a try. Adam had a few dates and Jessica would half-heartedly browse for men who piqued her interest, but neither had found what they were looking for yet. That is until Jessica spotted Adam and decided to message him.
“We had so much in common right off the bat,” Jessica remembers. “I knew I had to reach out.”
Unbeknownst to Jessica, Adam’s subscription had expired which left Jessica without a reply. However, as soon as Adam saw who had written him, he immediately renewed just so he could write her back. From there, the two incessantly talked on Match and over the phone up until their first date.
“When we finally met, it was like we had known each other for years,” recalls Jessica.
The two became inseparable, knowing they had finally found what everyone talks about: The One.
After moving in together, the pair was spending Christmas with Jessica’s family. That morning, after all the presents had been opened and the initial excitement of Christmas had quieted down, Adam got down on one knee by the tree in front of Jessica’s entire family, and asked her to marry him! Best Christmas present ever? We think so!
The two were married this past June and are so excited for what comes next.
“Adam and I were both skeptics about online dating,” Jessica admits. “But here we are, and we couldn’t be happier.”
