Sometimes, the best romances start as friendships.
Take Adrian and Williams for example. In 2014, the two connected on Match. After going out a few times, the pair recognized a certain chemistry between them, but both agreed it was more friendly than romantic. Instead of going the relationship route, they decided to become friends.
Later that year, Adrian moved away for her job. However, every visit back home, she found herself meeting up with Williams for dinners, drinks, and catch-up time. Still, nothing romantic had budded — just a genuine friendship.
Two years later, in 2016, Adrian decided to transfer back home and guess who she told first? The two were mutually excited at the idea of Adrian moving back and with her return on the horizon, Adrian invited Williams to Nashville for one-last-hurrah weekend. Little did they know that weekend would turn out to be a game changer.
“The weekend was amazing,” Adrian wrote. “We spent a lot of time really getting to know each other and having the most intimate conversations. We knew we wanted to be more than friends.”
Williams asked Adrian to be his girlfriend and three months after that he stood in the pulpit at their church, and asked her to be his wife. Overwhelmed with joy, Adrian said yes!
“The date is set, and I am ready to be a Mrs.” she says.
We wish you both the best and hope the friendship you’ve built will make your marriage even stronger!
