“Just click!” is Hashim’s advice when it comes to using Match.
In the fall of 2013, Hashim was a Match member but wasn’t particularly active on the site. However, one fateful day as he was scrolling around, someone caught his eye he couldn’t ignore: Stephanie.
“Her profile made me literally laugh out loud,” Hashim wrote. “Amidst the glamour shots and duck-face selfies, Stephanie was a girl wearing a bike helmet, sitting on a bike with the goofiest grin across her face… I saw somebody who was funny, confident, and uncaring of what everybody else was doing. I saw happiness.”
After reading her profile, Hashim realized he had to let Stephanie know she had made him smile, regardless of whether or not it evolved into an actual connection or date. But that’s exactly what happened. A short message led to a long conversation which led to a date which led to falling in love.
Two and a half years after meeting, Hashim got down on one knee in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and asked the girl with the contagious grin to marry him.
The pair was married this past October, and we couldn’t be happier for them.
“I’m wishing everybody out there our kind of success,” the groom wrote. “It’s there… just click!”
