Hang on to your digital hats and make your computer and phone your BFF as Dating Sunday is just around the corner THIS Sunday, January 8th at 8:49pm ET.

So how do you stand out on #DatingSunday?

Here are four tips to make the most of your Match membership and to help you fill up your date card in 2017. Here’s to being lucky in love!

  1. Post tons of photos. I used to recommend 3-5 photos on a dating profile, but these days it’s so much easier to add new photos, especially if you grab them from your Facebook profile. The more you share, the more someone will view your profile, which will result in a greater chance of communicating. Keep the photos about you and at places where you like to spend time. Too many group or family shots will become confusing, and please toss out the sunglasses, blurry photos, and bathroom shots. When you’re dating online, it needs to be about “you,” so your potential date can start imagining becoming an “us” with you in mind. The good news is you’ll start receiving notifications and comments about your photos. It’s the perfect opportunity to write back to those who have flattered you!
  1. Give your bio a digital facelift. Many singles write a profile, toss up a few photos, and wait for all the emails to pour in. I’m here to tell you there’s no magic digital wand to attract “Mr. or Ms. Perfect,” but this advice is as close as you’ll get. You MUST revise last year’s profile, which is now stale. It’s great to change your catchy screen name on the desktop version and make sure your first sentence gets revised on your profile. It can be as simple as rearranging your sentences to help increase your visibility, or teasing with details of an upcoming trip, then revising your profile with new photos.
  1. Sign up for Top Spot. Match has a fun and effective feature called “Top Spot” which will feature you more frequently at the top of the search results when it’s peak time with highest activity. With that in mind, for less than the price of a latte, your profile will be at the top of the page to be seen by three times more viewers and receive three times more emails. I say go for it!
  1. Use your mobile app and turn on push notifications. Why wait hours or days later when your next date could be scheduled on the fly? Make sure you’ve turned on your push notifications. You’ll be notified of winks, daily matches, messages, and more. Then you can start responding and setting up your dates.
