How do you split $765 million? The NFL and more than 4,500 former players have reached a settlement on Thursday of $765 million to resolve concussion-related lawsuits. The jaw-dropping figure will be used to fund medical exams, concussion-related compensation and medical research. The series of lawsuits began when many former players, who suffered from neurological conditions, came out saying that their injuries stemmed from on-field concussions.
Kardashian Khaos: Despite all the rumors, Khloe Kardashian Odom and Lamar Odom are not divorcing. Sources say the media speculation is not true and that right now, the Kardashian family is focused on getting Lamar better, especially after his early morning DUI arrest on Friday. The couple has not confirmed or denied the reports of Odom’s infidelity and possible drug allegations.
Gay or straight, couples will get taxed: The U.S. Department of Treasury announced on Thursday that when it comes to taxes, it will recognize all same-sex married couples. Miley Backlash: Even if you didn’t see the MTV VMAs last Sunday, you have probably heard about Miley Cyrus’ not so Disney appropriate performance. Even though the pop star is facing a lot of flack for her provocative performance, many celebs are defending her, such as Justin Timberlake, Pete Wentz and Adam Lambert. Donald Trump went the extra step and posted a Vine video telling Miley that everyone is just jealous of her.
Trouble in Paradise: After nearly 13 years of marriage, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are taking a break from their marriage. The couple has been together through many ups and downs in their relationship. Douglas was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and Zeta-Jones went through a stint in rehab for her bipolar II disorder. Representatives for the couple said the two are “taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage.”
