Musings of a Marketing Intern: Style’s summer intern, Silvia, will be blogging weekly about her experiences working at Match and revealing the behind the scenes of the world’s largest dating site.

Who says techies can’t be stylish?

One of the best parts of working at, other than free bagel Fridays, is the casual but cool dress code. From a t-shirt and jeans to 6-inch heels and blazers, you’ll see a wide range of styles in our Match offices depending on mood, style or department.

So many of us go from work to play without any time in between to change, and one thing employees have down is the ability to put together some great transitional pieces that carry them from desk to dinner. Here are some great looks from around the office that can transition into a date night out to inspire your attire!

Josh, a Senior Financial Analyst, updates the blue jeans and button down look with some sleek kicks and his trademark black velvet blazer. This is a great date outfit for a guy! Keep yourself comfortable in jeans and cool tennies but polish your look by throwing on a tailored blazer.

Analytics Intern McGuinn keeps it casual in her summer whites but also keeps it current with her handbag offering a pop of color to her outfit. This is a perfect look to transition from the office to a happy hour. Bring a pair of nude heels to change into before you head out for night on town!

Senior App Engineer Keyvan is clean-cut in his fitted navy trousers and crisp gingham button dress shirt—a classic date night look. If you wanted to mix things up, throw on a fitted vest a la Justin Timberlake and paint the town red!

Cayla, Senior PR and Marketing Coordinator, pays a tribute to her California roots by emulating a chic L.A. girl in her sweet lace dress and canvas booties. This outfit works well for an afternoon date. The booties will keep your feet from hurting when you’re walking around the city and the light dress will keep you from getting too warm.
